I have served families for 20+ years coaching, mentoring, ministering families in crisis including behavioral issues, disordered eating/body dysmorphia, drug/alcohol use, identity challenges, and relationships within the family and with peers.
I have a deep respect and understanding of the complexities facing youth and parents and hold hope that through facilitated communication, compromise, and planning families can weather life’s storms and be restored to health and wholeness.
Mental health conditions are multifaceted and often need more than one approach to see healing. Restorative Family Mediation is an important component in the healing process, along with other qualified care providers. RFM helps teens feel integral to their personal healing and personal agency which can build self assurance and self respect.
Life doesn’t come with a user manual and neither does parenting or being a child. And while we try to figure it out on our own, we don’t have to. In Restorative Family Mediation each family can learn to rely on its collective wisdom and in partnership with a mediator, each family can learn to function in a healthy and life-giving way!
